This Privacy Policy explains how PromptPal (“PromptPal,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the PromptPal mobile application (the “App”). PromptPal is a gamified learning app that teaches AI prompt writing. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
1. What We Collect
We collect only the information needed to run the App and support your learning:
- Account information — your email address and name, provided through our authentication provider, Clerk.
- Prompts you submit — the text prompts you write and send within the App.
- AI-generated outputs — the text and images generated in response to your prompts.
- Progress data — your XP, streaks, levels completed, and other learning progress.
- Basic device information — your operating system and app version, collected through the Expo framework to keep the App running reliably.
We do not use advertising, third-party analytics SDKs, or tracking pixels.
2. How We Use It
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and provide the App and its features.
- Evaluate and respond to your prompts using Google Gemini.
- Track your learning progress, including XP, streaks, and completed levels.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the product.
3. AI-Generated Content
When you submit a prompt, the prompt is sent to Google Gemini for evaluation and to generate text or images. AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected, and should not be relied upon as professional advice.
We do not use your prompts to train third-party AI models. Your prompts are sent to Google Gemini solely to provide the App’s functionality.
4. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following trusted service providers. Each has its own privacy policy:

- RevenueCat — subscription payments (when enabled). Privacy Policy
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Convex cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols (HTTPS/TLS). While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Account Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App. Once you delete your account, your personal information, prompts, AI-generated outputs, and progress data are removed from our systems. You may also request deletion by contacting us at the email below.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. When you delete your account, we delete the associated data, except where we are required to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations.
8. Children’s Privacy
PromptPal is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
